Kids for Christ
“Kids for Christ” Workshops
The “Kids for Christ” initiative begins with Kids Leadership Training
Workshops, where adults from Sunday schools, hostels, orphanages, and VBS
schools are equipped as teacher-trainers. These trained adults return to their
local churches, hostels, or orphanages to prepare children aged 5–16 to become
effective witnesses for Christ. Older children (ages 14–16) serve as team
leaders, helping to guide and mentor the younger ones.
The Kids for Christ curriculum is
designed with three primary goals:
·
CLARIFY the Gospel for children at a stage in life when
they are curious and asking questions about faith in Jesus.
·
WIN children to saving faith in Jesus when their
hearts are most open to receiving Him as their Savior.
· TRAIN children to become witnesses for Jesus Christ, helping them establish lifelong habits of sharing their faith.
As Proverbs 22:6 says, “Train up a child in the way he should go; even when he is old, he will not depart from it.” By investing in children, we trust that the Holy Spirit will awaken their hearts, leading them to a life of obedience and disciple-making that will impact their lives and future generations.
The Kids for Christ curriculum engages all learning styles, making it fun, interactive, and effective. It incorporates hand motions, dramas, crafts, songs, and other creative methods to help children learn how to share the Gospel clearly and confidently.
The program also includes practical, hands-on training and take-home materials, equipping children with the confidence and motivation to share their faith with others. Through this curriculum, children understand the Gospel more deeply, including concepts like grace, redemption, and faith. They learn what “saving faith” means personally and how to communicate it to others.
Many of these children attend secular schools, and
those living in hostels often visit their non-Christian families. This places
them in a unique mission field, where relationships provide the most
significant opportunities to share the Gospel. The desire to witness naturally
grows from these connections, making children influential ambassadors for
Christ in their communities.
