Prayer Letter Aug 2020

As I mentioned in a prior newsletter, this pandemic prompted Asian believers to look for help where it comes from. As a result of this challenge, an urgent effort is being made to equip more churches. We will not miss this opportunity!

Equip India is conducting witness training workshops wherever it is feasible. We have equipped 1,298 believers as lifetime witnesses since March 15^th year to date.  In addition, Equip India has recently conducted two witness training workshops using video conferencing in two restricted Middle East Countries (Jeddah, Saudi Arabia and Doha, Qatar). Also, 40 of our staff partners get together on video conferencing twice a month for 90 minutes. This time is used for prayer, encouragement, and sharing the work and challenges, along with a 30-minute bible study.

Many partners have shared testimonies about how multitudes of people in cities and villages have accepted the Lord and been added to the Church due to this equipping. One such believer, Monika from Ferozpur, North India, shared in a video, "I attended the Church-based Workshop (CBW) in our Village Church. I learned to share the witness, and we did on-the-job training (OJT) in our neighborhood. For the first time, I shared the gospel with a stranger (unknown to me but known to my OJT teammate). I was shocked that they were listening to Gospel outline, which I learnt from CBW.

This training is practical, and I was happy to see the result when that stranger Aunty came to Church the following Sunday. Now, I can share my witness with all my friends, neighbors, and relatives and let God show them the right path. Many thanks to Pastor George Masih for this Equip India training.
