Holy Spirit Fuels Church Growth in Bihar: "Graveyard of Missionaries" Transforms.

MUNGER, BIHAR, INDIA - The state of Bihar, once known as the "graveyard of missionaries" due to its strongholds of Hinduism and historical lack of Christian conversions, is reportedly experiencing a significant spiritual transformation. Missionary Yesudas Manoharan reports a "phenomenal movement of the 'Holy Spirit'" that has turned this region into a "vineyard."

Working in Munger, Bihar, Yesudas organized a "Witnessing Without Fear" (WWF) workshop by Equip India for his small church. During an outreach event, a team shared the Gospel with Rajesh Kumar, a local gang leader known for his "bad character." To the surprise and initial alarm of the church, Rajesh Kumar later arrived with a group of eight to ten people, requesting to hear more about Jesus. They all subsequently accepted Christ.

Since his conversion, Rajesh Kumar has become an active member and leader in the church, sharing his testimony and the Gospel widely. He now assists the pastor in conducting services and meetings at five branch churches.

Yesudas credits the WWF training from Equip India for this remarkable growth. His church in Munger has expanded from 75 members to a thriving congregation of 300, with five branch churches in the surrounding area. Inspired by this impact, Yesudas has offered to become a workshop teacher to equip more believers in Bihar to share their faith effectively.

This testimony highlights a dramatic shift in a region previously resistant to the Gospel.
