Equip India's Training Model Multiplies Evangelistic Efforts Across South Asia
SOUTH ASIA - Equip India is implementing a
strategic model of church-based workshops (CBW) and leadership training to
expand evangelistic outreach across South Asia exponentially.
In a recent Leadership Training Workshop (LTW), 17 pastors from nearby churches participated in a model CBW alongside 45 members of the host congregation. The pastors observed teaching methods and learned to effectively share the "Gospel Presentation" to replicate these workshops in their churches.
The two-day workshop also equipped the pastors with a
"Leadership Workshop Teacher’s Manual," providing Scripture
references, explanations of techniques, and illustrations to enable them to
become effective trainers. They received guidance on implementing and following
up on CBWs and instructions on reporting their activities to regional and
national offices. Crucially, both days included practical, on-the-job training
to build the pastors' confidence and motivation in sharing their faith.
Senior staff partners closely monitor the progress of
these trained leaders, offering support as needed. Successful CBW teachers and
organizers are further encouraged to train other churches in their localities,
receiving advanced training alongside experienced staff partners until they are
certified to lead independently.
Pastors who attended the LTW expressed enthusiasm for
the program. Pastor Dainy Paul described it as an "eye-opener" that
provided the "right insight" for gospel sharing and congregational
training, which he plans to implement soon. Pastor Bright Daniel emphasized the
potential impact of earlier training, stating that "many more people would
have come to the saving knowledge of Christ" and highlighting the urgency
to train more people, given the growing population.
Equip India emphasizes that the financial and prayer support
we receive is foundational to reaching countless villages and millions of
people with the Gospel. We believe this work is making our partners a
"light of the nations," enabling salvation to reach the ends of the
earth and creating a transferable model for churches across South Asia.
