Equip India's Training Fuels Church Growth, But Vast Unreached Areas Remain
INDIA - Equip India's evangelism and church
planting training is reportedly significantly impacting, with over 15,000
individuals trained. C. V. John, a participant in the Midgeshi Workshop,
attests to its transformative effect on his ministry.
Since the workshop, he has planted three new churches, and their members have evangelized in surrounding villages. Within the last five years, 80 baptisms and a current total membership of 100 across his churches have occurred. John continues to train his members in effective witnessing.
Despite this growth, the India Missions Association in
Chennai highlights the immense task remaining. Of India's 27,145 zip code
areas, nearly 69% (18,677) lack a single Christian worker. Each zip code area
represents approximately 30 villages with a total population of around 35,000.
This underscores the urgent need for continued efforts to equip evangelists and
church planters to reach the over 500,000 villages in India where the Gospel
has yet to be introduced.
